Open Hours
Our Gallery/Office hours are Mondays to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturdays 10am to 2pm. We are closed on public holidays, view all relevant dates via worksafe.tas.gov.au.
The venue is also open during special events and workshops. Please see our What’s on to see what’s on.

Moonah Arts Centre is located at 23-27 Albert Rd, Moonah
Public Transport
Bus stops are located a convenient 100m walk on Main Rd, these frequent buses head either north to Glenorchy Interchange or South into Hobart CBD.

Parking
Moonah Arts Centre has free visitor parking behind the Centre (2 hours), with extra parking across the road (3 hours). There are 2 accessible parking spaces directly in front of the Centre on Albert Road.
Accessibility
- Moonah Arts Centre is fully wheelchair accessible. There are 2 Disability Parking Permit bays located on Albert Rd.
- Accessible toilets are available onsite
- Moonah Arts Centre accepts Companion Cards. Carers accompanying a Companion Card holder will receive free entry to our ticketed events. Please call ahead to confirm capacity.
Smoking
Moonah Arts Centre is a smoke free venue. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises.
Food, Drink and Purchasing
- Moonah Arts Centre is a licensed venue, no BYO alcohol is permitted.
- Respectfully priced food and beverages and free water will be available at events
- Liquor licensing does not allow unsealed bottles in to the venue. If you are bringing soft drink please ensure it is unopened.
- If you’re bringing your water bottle, bring it empty for refilling at the free drinking water station.
- We are a cashless venue
Age
- All Moonah Arts Centre ticketed concerts are 18+ unless otherwise advertised. This is to reflect that the concert area is licensed, that alcohol will be served and that unaccompanied minors or those with insufficient photo ID will be unable to enter the venue.
- Minors are permitted to attend licensed 18+ ticketed concerts at Moonah Arts Centre if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- Where an event is licensed, official Australian 18+ photo identification will be required for entry (driver’s license, passport). Any patron refused admission due to inappropriate identification has no right to any refund or exchange.
