Moonah Arts Centre is a place for young people to make, explore, and imagine.
Our kids’ program runs across school terms and holidays, offering hands-on creative experiences across visual art, performance, and design — led by local practicing artists in a relaxed, welcoming studio environment.
Whether your child is picking up a paintbrush for the first time or already knows their way around a pottery wheel, there’s a space for them here.
Term-Time Programs
Little Makers (ages 4–6)
A gentle introduction to art-making through play, colour, and texture. Little Makers explores a new theme each week — from mud and clay to collage and paint — building fine motor skills and creative confidence in a supportive group setting.
Saturdays, 9:30–10:15am | $18 per session
Studio Kids (ages 7–9)
A weekly after-school studio session where young artists explore drawing, painting, printmaking, and simple sculpture. Each term builds toward a small showcase of work, giving kids a real sense of process and progress.
Tuesdays, 3:45–5:00pm | $22 per session
Junior Makerspace (ages 10–12)
For kids ready for a bit more independence, Junior Makerspace mixes traditional art materials with design and construction — think cardboard architecture, simple stop-motion animation, and found-object sculpture.
Thursdays, 4:00–5:30pm | $25 per session
