Visiting

Our Gallery and Office are open Monday to Friday, 10am–5pm, and Saturdays 10am–2pm. We’re closed on public holidays. The venue is also open outside these hours for special events and workshops — check What’s On for details.

We’re at 23-27 Albert Rd, Moonah. Free visitor parking is available behind the Centre (2 hours) and across the road (3 hours), with 2 accessible parking bays on Albert Rd directly out front.

Yes — bus stops are a 100m walk away on Main Rd, with frequent services running north to Glenorchy Interchange and south into Hobart CBD. Check the Metro timetable for current times.

This depends on the event — most exhibitions are free and open to browse, while concerts and workshops are usually ticketed. Check the individual event listing on What’s On for booking details.

We’re a licensed venue, so BYO alcohol isn’t permitted. Reasonably priced food, drinks, and free water are available at events. If you’re bringing a soft drink, please make sure it’s unopened — unsealed bottles aren’t permitted due to our liquor licence.

No, we’re a cashless venue — card and mobile payments only.

Ticketed concerts are 18+ unless otherwise advertised, as our concert area is licensed. Minors may attend an 18+ concert if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Valid Australian photo ID is required for entry to licensed events.

Yes — we welcome proposals from independent artists and facilitators for workshops, talks, and one-off events. Get in touch with our Programs team to discuss your idea.

Our Performance Space is equipped with sound and lighting infrastructure, and our team can provide technical support during bump-in, the event, and bump-out. Specific technical specifications are available on request and on our venue hire pages.

Venue Hire

Yes, several of our spaces are available for hire, including our Performance Space, Community Studio, and Foyer areas. See our Venue Hire page for details on each space and how to enquire.

This varies by space and event type — some bookings include basic AV equipment and front-of-house staffing, while additional services (technical staff, catering, security) can be arranged for an extra cost.

Capacity depends on the space and your event layout (seated, standing, or exhibition-style). Our team can advise on the best fit for your event when you enquire.

We recommend enquiring as early as possible, particularly for weekend dates or larger events, as availability can book out several months ahead.

Most venue hire agreements require hirers to hold public liability insurance. Full requirements are outlined in our hire agreement, provided at the time of booking.
