These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Moonah Arts Centre website, and your participation in events, workshops, programs, and venue hire arrangements offered by Moonah Arts Centre (MAC), operated by Glenorchy City Council. By using this website or booking with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Bookings and Tickets

  • All ticket sales are subject to availability at the time of booking.
  • Prices listed are current at the time of publishing and may be subject to change without notice.
  • Tickets are non-transferable unless otherwise stated, and must be presented (digitally or in print) for entry where applicable.
  • Where an event requires photo ID (such as 18+ ticketed concerts), entry may be refused to patrons unable to provide valid identification, and no refund or exchange will be provided in this circumstance.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Refunds for ticketed events are generally only available if an event is cancelled, rescheduled, or significantly altered by Moonah Arts Centre.
  • Requests for refunds due to change of mind are considered at MAC’s discretion and are not guaranteed.
  • Workshop and program bookings may be subject to a minimum enrolment number; if a session does not proceed due to insufficient numbers, a full refund or credit will be offered.
  • In the event of illness, injury, or other exceptional circumstances, please contact our team directly to discuss your options.

Venue Hire

  • Venue hire bookings are subject to a separate hire agreement, which sets out specific terms including payment, cancellation, insurance, and conduct requirements.
  • A deposit or full payment may be required to confirm a booking, as outlined at the time of quote.
  • Hirers are responsible for any damage to MAC facilities or equipment occurring during their hire period, beyond fair wear and tear.
  • MAC reserves the right to refuse or cancel a venue hire booking where the proposed use is deemed unsafe, unlawful, or inconsistent with MAC’s values and community purpose.

Workshops and Programs

  • Places in workshops, courses, and programs are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis upon payment.
  • Some programs may have age, skill level, or other eligibility requirements, as outlined in the individual program listing.
  • Materials and equipment supplied as part of a workshop remain the property of Moonah Arts Centre unless otherwise stated.
  • MAC reserves the right to substitute facilitators, artists, or tutors where necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.

Artist and Exhibition Opportunities

  • Submissions to open calls, exhibition programs, or artist opportunities are considered in line with the criteria published for that specific opportunity.
  • Submission of a proposal does not guarantee selection, and MAC is under no obligation to provide individual feedback on unsuccessful applications unless otherwise stated.
  • Artists retain ownership of and copyright in their own work at all times. Participation in an MAC program does not transfer ownership of any artistic work to Moonah Arts Centre or Glenorchy City Council.
  • MAC may request permission to photograph or promote exhibited or performed work for marketing purposes; artists will be asked to provide consent separately where this applies.

Code of Conduct

  • Moonah Arts Centre is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all visitors, artists, participants, and staff.
  • MAC reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person from the premises whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or discriminatory.
  • Smoking, illicit substances, and BYO alcohol are not permitted on the premises at any time.

Website Use

  • Content on this website, including text, images, and branding, is owned by or licensed to Moonah Arts Centre / Glenorchy City Council and may not be reproduced without permission.
  • While we make reasonable efforts to keep information on this site accurate and up to date, MAC does not guarantee that all content (including event details, pricing, and availability) is free from error at all times.
  • Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; MAC is not responsible for the content or practices of external sites.
