Getting In
Moonah Arts Centre is fully wheelchair accessible, with step-free entry and access throughout the venue.
Accessible parking
There are 2 Disability Parking Permit bays located on Albert Rd, directly in front of the Centre.

Accessible toilets are available onsite.
Moving through the space
Our gallery, performance space, and studios are step-free and connected by wide walkways, allowing easy movement for visitors using wheelchairs, mobility aids, prams, or walking frames.
Seating
For ticketed performances, please let us know ahead of time if you require accessible seating or a companion seat nearby, and we’ll do our best to accommodate this.
Companion Cards
Moonah Arts Centre accepts Companion Cards. Carers accompanying a Companion Card holder will receive free entry to our ticketed events. Please call ahead to confirm capacity.
Sensory and Communication Access
Hearing loop
A hearing loop may be available in our main performance space for patrons with hearing aids. Please ask our Front Desk team to activate this on arrival.
Sensory-friendly visits
If you or someone in your group would benefit from a quieter visit with advance notice of loud sounds, reduced lighting, or a quiet space to step out to if needed — please let us know ahead of your visit and we’ll do what we can to accommodate this.
Visual and communication support
Large-print programs and event information can be made available on request. If you use Auslan or require other communication support, please contact us ahead of time so we can arrange this where possible.

Trained assistance animals are welcome throughout Moonah Arts Centre.
Getting Here
Public transport
Bus stops are located a short, level 100m walk from the Centre on Main Rd, with frequent services running toward Glenorchy Interchange and Hobart CBD.
Drop-off
If you’re being dropped off, the Albert Rd entrance offers the most direct step-free access to the Centre.
