The Performance Studio at the Moonah Arts Centre (MAC) in Lutruwita/Tasmania is a purpose-built facility designed to give local and visiting artists, presenters and educators an exceptional presentation experience in the vibrant and central location of Moonah.
Our flexible Performance Studio is perfect for intimate concerts, medium capacity gigs, theatre, film screenings, and presentations, conferences and functions.

- Studio space measures 9.6m x 17.6m (169m2).
- A 6m x 4m stage
- Comfortably seat up to 130 people.
- An unseated informal event opening onto the foyer and internal courtyard could cater for up to 300 people.

Accessibility
All of our facilities are designed with inclusivity in mind, featuring all-gender bathrooms, ramps and ground-level access, accessible meeting and break-out rooms, hearing loops and plenty of accessible parking.
Fee information
- For artists, we offer the space at a discounted rate of $232 per day inclusive of default staging, seating, audio system, lighting and projection systems.
- For business, government and other organisations the day rate is $480 per day with the same inclusions. For community organisations and registered not-for-profit the space is $300 per day.
- Staff to provide technical assistance and front-of-house duties from $58 per hour.
- We also offer a five-hour supported presentation package which includes Venue Manager, Duty Technician and Venue Hire from $800.
